COLONIA DEL SACRAMENTO, URUGUAY
The second drawer of my parents’ wardrobe was filled with photographs. Albums, loose prints, slides. I could spend hours going through them, discovering who they were when they were young, and discovering myself as well. At home, there was a small automatic 12mm camera that I insisted on bringing along on one of my school trips. From that moment on, I can’t remember a stage of my life without taking photographs.
As a teenager, I attended a one-week summer course with an Agfa viewfinder camera that sat on a shelf at home as a decorative antique. Focusing was done by eye; you had to estimate the distance and translate it onto the lens. Things started to become serious then — I could finally choose and decide how the photograph was going to look.
Over time, there were comings and goings — more active periods and quieter ones — but always with drawers and memory cards filled with images.
Today, I choose to show what I see, and the way I see it. You’ll find recurring subjects — because everything revolves around them — movement, travel, portraits, a touch of minimalism, and a style that is still evolving.
I hope you enjoy it. And if you have anything to share with me — feedback, constructive criticism, or simply which photographs resonate with you more or less — I’d be truly happy to hear from you.
